It’s official now! Revealed that the OnePlus 2 will be coming with the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 chipset, and far being not much as a surprise, because it was already alleged in the benchmark results leaking that exact SoC being used. OnePlus One successor is on the cards, and today we have received a slight opportunity to be imminent about the hardware under the hood.
About Snapdragon 810 SoC, there were issues regarding overheating, since basically all phones that have this chipset have in some way or another been accused of such behavior. Nevertheless, OnePlus believes and feels very confident that its next device 2 will not overheat. Using the S810 v2.1 iteration, which apparently is an improved version of Qualcomm chipset.
Also said by the company, “all the necessary precautions and beyond” have been taken to get rid of overrheating problem from occurring on OnePlus 2. Confirmed that they will layer both thermal gel and graphite on top of the SoC, should ensure that the heat generated by the chipset will be profligate evenly, as opposed to being concentrated and thus leading to performance issues. Its speed and ability to multitask while maintaining optimal battery performance remain unmatched amongst others in the industry.
The Snapdragon 810 v2.1 dubbed as the “ultimate connected computer processor,” puts desktop-grade computing power into the pam of your hands. With eight CPU cores and 64-bit processing, OnePlus has chosen the 810 to be the driving force behind the OnePlus 2’s innovative specs. Paired with the 2, means, better video, quicker camera, and an unbelievable gaming experience on the go.
The OnePlus 2’s Snapdragon 810 supports streaming 4K Ultra HD video, ultimately crisp and fast photos with one quick snap, brings with it impressive 3D gaming with the paired first-in-class graphics card – Adreno 430 GPU, allows you make high-quality video streaming that only uses less bandwidth, and all in all exceptional battery life is saved.
Further, the OnePlus’s OxygenOS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop is going to be amazingly optimized to work with the S810. CPU core is to be used for which tasks, and it will avoid using two cores that are next to each other if it can either.
For example, “one or two of the larger processors would be used for graphics-heavy gaming, while in contrast, the small processor would be used for simple text messaging. In layman’s terms, one of our ROM’s features is to intuitively know which processor should be used for what task, and it avoids using two or more processors that are right next to each other.”
Fine-tuned both hardware and software on the OnePlus 2, which will be “cooler than ever”. Finally after rigorous testing, the 2 meets the industry standard for phone temperature, even with hours of use. Major internals of the OnePlus 2 are to be revealed one by one in the near future.
