OPPO has announced that it will launch two new smartphones, F3 and F3 Plus this month, but this time it confirms to turn dual-lens camera trend around, puts one of the front of its new hardware. Dual cameras are usually found on the back of some phones, but Oppo has decided to attach two camera sensors on the front of its F3 Plus smartphone. Here are the details.
The OPPO F3 Plus is expected to come with a 6-inch fullHD Super AMOLED display, also includes 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage on-board. Confirmed that the F3 Plus will have a dual camera selfie lens which combines with a 16MP + 8MP secondary sensor to capture depth information. Specifications-wise, other than these, the Chinese company didn’t mention any details about the upcoming F3 series smartphone.
A smartphone company known best for its strong camera technology, Oppo has the F3 Plus hands-on, a new phone with a very special selfie cam. The trend for dual-lens camera on the smartphones is slowly changing to include them on the front, and the first would be Oppo, the latest to bring the same tech to its selfie cameras on the F3 Plus.
The main lens has 16-megapixels, and is joined by a second 8-megapixel sub-camera lens, both set above the F3 Plus’s screen. However, Oppo hasn’t revealed much about the two lenses, but assuming they will produce a bokeh effect on portrait shots, and the teaser image suggests one will be wide-angle lens for group selfies. Only information we have now is that the F3 Plus is likely to be joined by a smaller F3 smartphone, but again, OPPO hasn’t shared a release date or specs for the device yet.
It’s possible the phone will retain the dual-lens selfie cam from the F3 Plus, and rumored has been playing its part, the F3 series phones will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, rather the latest 7.0 Nougat on top of Oppo’s ColorOS users interface.
Another rumor also said that the next F3 Plus smartphone is powered by Snapdragon 653 processor on 4GB of RAM, possibilities are there to see a 4,000mAh battery and the rear camera of 16-megapixels and a single lens.
OPPO will release the F3 Plus on March 23, when it’s sold in five countries; India, Indonesia, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Vietnam. A wider international launch wasn’t been clarified, but OPPO has sold its devices in Europe and the U.S. before. Stay tuned for more!
