The excitement of a new proper flagship in the Microsoft Windows-based Lumia realm has been long overdue and now that getting much attention lately. The duo should be officially released on October 8, but it hasn’t stopped at least a couple of retailers from leaking details about Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL.
A new set of Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950 XL images has allegedly been leaked online, showcasing the devices in the flesh, of course the prototypes.
Leaked images of the Lumia 950’s 20MP PureView camera details that it will also be coming with a triple-LED flash, while it was only exclusive for the bigger Lumia 950 XL’s sensor. These photographs also give a better look at the low-infrared diode for the Iris scanner on the devices, and aren’t aware of it, you’ll be able to unlock the devices by just loking at them. It is also confirmed that both the high-end devices will have a dual-SIM version.
Apart from the aforementioned, a Russian online store might became the first official retailer to offer pre-orders on both models. This clarifies the specs sheets for the two yet again and gives s=us some perspective on the Russian pricing. though there’s one extra detail revealed.
The Microsoft Lumia 950 XL seems to be available in Dark Blue, as well as the classic Black and White colors. The smaller 950 phone is listed for 56,990 rubles ($865), while the bigger XL one goes for 62,990 rubles ($956). Specs-wise, the Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL have a 5.2″ and 5.7″ displays, both at QHD resolution, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable memory. the bigger XL variant has a powerful Snaodragon 810 chipset and a 3,300mAh battery, whereas the smaller Lumia 950 has a slightly less powered Hexa-Core Snapdragon 808 SoC and is backed by a 3000mAh battery and both the Microsoft handsets share a 20MP Pureview camera with triple-LED flash.
Both the Microsoft’s upcoming Lumia 950 and 950 XL have USB Type-C cables and the company plans to use the combined data-transfer and video out capabilities of the new connector along with the Windows 10 Continuum feature to turn the handsets into portable desktops.
Both Lumia 950 and 950XL are expected to be made official at the software giant’s October 6 event next week.
