PUBG: Wonder you haven’t ignored this before, In fact, we’re fairly sure you’re probably playing it while you read this. A community of PUBG Mobile players on iOS and Android ask for help and to have fun, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is a compatible survival shooter. You may also want to know and take a moment between games to check out what is coming your way if a current beta build of the game is anything to go by.
According to a new video surfaced on Internet web, shared by YouTube channel Viper Gaming, Chinese beta testers of PUBG 0.6.0 are enjoying the treat that many have been wishing for – first-person gameplay.
It started as, and PUBG Mobile still remains, a third-person shooter, something that you either see as a huge combat or a frustrating negative. Now, honestly, it looks like we can expect first-person PUBG Mobile at some point in the near days, and if this video is anything to go by, it’s going to be pretty great.
Battlegrounds first-person only mode is a new addition as part of the game’s fourth monthly update. However, the beta build of Lightspeed and Quantum Studio shown in the video is only available to Chinese beta testers at the far moment, since it carries version number 0.6.0.
China tends to be ahead of the worldwide release schedule though, is currently running at version 0.5.x whereas those of us playing internationally are stuck using version 0.4.0. That may suggest we have a little while to wait before we get the first-person hotness, although it is, certainly, also possible we could skip version 0.5.x entirely.
Here, we can toggle between third and first-party views in regular matches, the dedicated mode means you will only see in first-person. This also means you cannot see round corners, ledges or behind you with the camera, with the limited perspective leading to a different feel to combat and exploration.
Right now, first-person servers aren’t available in PUBG on Xbox One, but you’re welcome to go ahead on PC after a brief period on the PC Test Server during the summer. Learn how to start a first-person only match of Battlegrounds. Just hover over the match start area in the upper left corner, and the options for first-person matches (or FPP) will be at the bottom.
Hopefully, we don’t have to wait too long before being able to snipe person in first-person perspective!
If you’re playing it in China, it’s likely you’ll get the chance before international PUBG gamers, so be sure to keep an eye out for an update confirmation at some point in the future.
PUBG and Fortnite are the hottest topics in mobile gaming right now and we cannot wait to see the two games improve given the breakneck update rate the respective developers continue to stick to.
