Tipped! All about the chipset and processor regarding Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 815 and S820 SoCs, which was leaked in January and the roadmap revealing all its plans of bringing the S815 and Snapdragon 820 to the smartphone shleves. Now that we have grabbed some more details about the S820 CPU which is actually rumored to come with a 3GHz Kyro Processor and said to be manufactured by Samsung. Although in March 2015, Qualcomm has revealed that the Zeroth Platform devices will be powered with Snapdragon 820 chipset. Running on Snapdragon 820 devices, is said to be manufactured by the South Korean Electronics, the Samsung using its new 14nm node manufacturing technology.
OnePlus 2 is also confirmed to be running on Snapdragon S820 v2.1 and the reports suggests that Sony, HTC and Xiaomi will be the first companies planning to test the new S820 SoC. With Xiaomi eying at the processor to be placed in its upcoming Mi5 smartphone. LG on the other hand also alleged to integrate Snapdragon 820 into their LG G4 Pro, the model which is purported to launch later this year, but concerning the issues they have faced with the S810 on their G Flex 2, we undoubtedly say this word that LG will be a bit careful while making its decision.
The Snapdragon 810 although have heating issues and was the reason why Samsung haven’t incorporated it on their Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge. Now the company says that with the Snapdragon 820 fixes all the plagued majority of heating issues. Considering the fact, it will be purely based on the same manufacturing process as Samsung’s Exynos 7420 CPUs.
