This story belongs to the next iPhone’s battery capacity. Newly leaked information suggesting that Apple’s iPhone 7 will come with a battery upgrade that will rapidly see capacity bumped up by 14-percent over the existing iPhone 6s, which could mean a longer battery life.
Rumors, leaks and speculations are those categories that depicts something that could be accurate of nothing else much more. But today’s information comes through OnLeaks’ Steve Hemmerstoffer, who often shares part leaks and info n new devices ahead of their launch date, the 4.7-inch iPhone 7 may include a 1,960mAh battery, an improvement over the 1,715mAh capacity found inside the iPhone 6s.
Serial information leaker has taken to Twitter once more to suggest that the upcoming iPhone 7 – which is bound for public release this coming September – will pack a 1960mAh battery. He has been extremely accurate when making claims about upcoming hardware. This time the leaker is citing a “pretty reliable” source who he describes as “not 100%” unique “but almost“, as the provider of the iPhone 7 battery information.
Longer battery life on a smartphone is often one of the most popular feature request specially for the new iPhone, and with the iPhone 7 expected to include only minor exterior design changes, better battery life could be an important selling point, that too when it’s available with a removable channel. In addition to a higher capacity battery, Apple could also go beyond and improve battery life through software optimizations. While the more efficient A10 processor inside is expected to be included in next-generation devices, the oft-mentioned larger battery capacity is a must.
If those perks come true, would mean that the iPhone 7 would theoretically offer a longer uptime over the current model iPhones, but will be subjective to a lot of other iPhone 7 components and iOS 10.
Devices like the iPhone get smaller, thinner and ultimately more compact, it’s becoming very difficult to improve the battery life due to course of limited space internally to fit a larger cell with higher power-storing capacity. The fact here is that the iPhone 7 to retain a largely similar design and size as the iPhone 6s, it increasingly seems clear that Apple has found a better way to move internal components around with the aim of slotting in a slightly larger battery.
All rumors about prospective battery life thus far, but one image of a battery said to be for the iPhone 7 listed a capacity of 7.04 watt-hours, larger than a 6.61 watt-hour battery in the 6S and nearly identical to the 7.01 watt-hour battery in the iPhone 6, in line with current rumor.
There’s no further information regarding on the type of capacity of battery that will make its way into the larger iPhone 7 Plus model when it hits the market later this year. With that said, if Apple planning on introducing a larger capacity into, it’s logical to assume that the 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus will benefit the same type of integration.
Additional information on battery life will become available as part leaks continue prior the fall release of the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus. Other features rumored for the two devices includes many.
