In January 2015, Xiaomi has unveiled two new high-end Mi Note and Mi Note Pro with gigantic 4GB of RAM, and Snapdragon 810 SoC, but those are phablet devices, and recently launched Mi 4i, but didn’t get the hype though, it went on its first flash sale on Flipkart on April 30, and went out of stock in seconds by selling 40,000 units. Apart this, the Chinese manufacturer still relaying on the Mi 4, which was actually announced on July last year. Few days ago, we have come through another purported Mi5 news, and according to some rumor mills in China, suggests that we’re going to see two new Mi 5 flagships instead of one – the Mi 5 and the Xiaomi Mi 5Plus.
Said that both the alleged Mi5 and Mi 5+ will be iterated sometime in July 2015, just around twelve months of its predecessor Mi4. Specification wise, the Mi 5 is rumored to have a 5.2-inch touchscreen, 3GB/4GB of RAM, a 16MP rear camera, a massive 3000mAh battery package and runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset under the hood.
Previous report claims that the Mi5 might get a fingerprint sensor too, and on the other hand the Mi 5Plus will be a 6-inch phablet coming with a quad HD (2560x1440px) screen resolution, 4 gigs of memory, 32GB of onboard storage, 16-megapixel primary camera with optical image stabilization and nevertheless, it will sport a “bezelless” display design.
It looks something odd speaking about the Mi 5 Plus, where it will be even bigger than its two phablet-sized flagships, Mi Note and Mi Note Pro, but anything can happen in the the technology world. However, the Chinese maker hasn’t revealed anything about the SoC, but its being a high-end offering, should also come with the Snapdragon 810 chipset.
Other details haven’t surfaced as yet, either rumored though, anything else happens take it with a pinch of salt, as it points to that of nothing officially confirmed. Stay tuned, we are close to July.
