Samsung Galaxy A6, Galaxy A6+ (2018) With Infinity Displays Announced: Specs, Price, Availability

It’s now official. Samsung Galaxy A6 (2018) and Galaxy A6+ (2018) both are finally announced, which has already listed on its official global website, along with its specs, price and release date. Here are the details on its availability.

Both phones push Samsung‘s midrange upward into the market. The European pricing of the Galaxy A6 (2018) and Galaxy A6+ (2018) has been revealed. The Galaxy A6 is priced at €309, while the Galaxy A6+ (2018) costs €369 and both will be available in Purple, Gold, Blue, and Black.

A stock of the two smartphones in Europe is coming in 3 weeks for the Galaxy A6 (2018) and 4 weeks for the Plus variant. The new Galaxy A6 series handsets will be available from early May in select Asian, European, and Latin American markets will also be released in additional stores throughout South Korea, Africa, and China later on.

Specifications wise, the Galaxy A6 (2018) features a 5.6-inch HD+ (720×1480 pixels) panel, while the Plus model has a larger 6.0-inch FullHD+ (1080×2220 pixels) with Super AMOLED Infinity Displays borrowed from Samsung’s Galaxy S, Galaxy Note, and Galaxy A8 series. Both displays featuring the design with 18.5:9 aspect ratio.

In terms of internals, and software, bot the devices run Android 8.0 Oreo, will get octa-core 1.6GHz and octa-core 1.8GHz chips, respectively. Both the Galaxy A6 and A6+ (2018) handsets come in 3GB of RAM plus 32GB internal storage, and 4GB RAM + 64GB built-in storage options supports microSD cards up to 256GB capacities. Other tweaks the two smartphones get Bixby, Bixby Vision, Home, and Reminder.

On the photography front, the Galaxy A6 will feature a single 16MP autofocus rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and the A6+ phone has dual cameras with a 16-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a secondary 5MP sensor with f/1.9 aperture. Up front, the Galaxy A6 (2018) gets a 16MP front shooter for selfies and video calling, whereas the Galaxy A6+ sports 24MP sensor, both with an aperture of f/1.9. Live Focus; Bokeh effect functionality will be exclusive to the A6+.

A 3,000mAh battery will power the Galaxy A6’s internals, and the A6+ will get a larger 3500mAh unit. Connectivity options on the two handsets include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4/5GHz), Cat 6 LTE, HT40, Bluetooth 4.2 (LE up to 1Mbps), ANT+, USB Type-B, NFC, and GPS. Otherwise, there’s also fingerprint sensor, face recognition, Dolby Atmos speakers, and Samsung Pay.

Both the smartphones are now up for pre-orders in Germany, giving us an indication of what the pricing will be. As we have already shown it above. There is no official word on the handset’s launch in India yet.
