Samsung’s unannounced Galaxy A8 (2018) and the Galaxy A8+ (2018) are expected to have dual front-facing cameras, according to the details leaked today, that too in an official manual.
Going straight into the topic, a new generation of Samsung‘s Galaxy A-series phones are well rumored for a release this January. And to add some excitement to the predictions, a new user manual was uploaded online at Samsung’s website, which otherwise provides minimal details on what we can expect for next year’s new A-series phones.
Now that the new 2018’s Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ have been spotted in a user manual, are said to be superior smartphones which are expected to be unveiled early next year as the successors to the Galaxy A8 smartphone of 2016.
The new A-series appears that the phones’ biggest highlight features will be dual front-facing camera system, with Live Focus available for selfies, but there’s no information yet on how many megapixels they are. However, the user manual also confirms that the phones will have an 18:9 aspect ratio with slim bezels, like many other new phones released in the past year.
The design of the Samsung’s Galaxy A8 (2018) and A8+ (2018) have identical builds and a bezel-less, Infinity Display, similar to the ones available on the Galaxy S8 and S8+ flagships. Furthermore, the manual showcases the presence of USB Type-C against Micro-USB that is so far available on all Galaxy A series smartphones.
There’s a rear fingerprint scanner which also looks like it’s located below the rear camera module, for easier access than previous Samsung models like the Galaxy Note 8. On the back, the manual reveals that the Galaxy A8 (2018) and the Galaxy A8+ (2018) models will come with a primary camera sensor along with an LED flash and NFC support. Both the smartphones appear to have two SIM card slots – one supporting a Nano-SIM and a microSD card. The official document also shows up the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ (2018) variants will have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS, and NFC support in terms of connectivity.
The leaked manual also claims that both phones will run Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. Said to offer support for Samsung Pay and Bixby assistant. Other aspects remain standard.
Specifications-wise, the official manual doesn’t detail fully of the Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8 Plus (2018) as yet. But a hands-on video emerged on YouTube for a short while that said to speak about its innards and external benefits, according to that, it has a 6-inch Super AMOLED Infinity Display with fullHD+ (1080×2220 pixels) 18.5:9 resolution. It also suggests having an octa-core Exynos 7885 processor, paired with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.
