Wait! Don’t expect anything high-end, because the device which you are going to here is from the series of Samsung Galaxy J. It is said that the Galaxy J2 comes with a 4.5-inch (800x480p) touchscreen resolution, a 5MP rear camera and a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. Coupled only with 1.5GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and backed up by a 2000mAh battery.
It will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box, sporting Samsung’s own 32-bit Exynos 3475 chipset, paired with 1.2GHz quad-core processor. Compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy J2 has slightly bigger screen, and 1 gig of extra memory, double the built-in storage, increased battery capacity, and two extra processor cores.
Although when considering these specs on a budget smartphone, Galaxy J2 is in fact quite the upgrade in terms of both hardware and software, despite that it still being evidently low-end phone.
Launch date time frame for the Galaxy J2 set in India first, followed by other developing markets. Mystery is that when it will happen, and the same goes for pricing, thugh it could be a cheaper initiative.
The Galaxy J1 is available on Verizon for $99.99, and judging by the specs of the Galaxy J2, its price tag will no doubt be noticeably higher should the device ever make its way to the US.
