Samsung To Announce Galaxy Note 5 With microSDXC On August 13, Reports Say

It’s all about the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 rumors of an early launch, likely going to end up true, as the latest report out of Korean media claims. Actually it was speculated August 12 as the release date of the highly-anticipated Galaxy Note 5, but this new info states the event is scheduled for August 13 in New York.

The South Korean Electronics has of course made its announcement date before, to grab the audiance before the Apple releases iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, due to be released mid-September. Though Samsung is ditching its established practice to unveil the next-generation Note flagship at IFA in Berlin and is pushing for an early launch.

Just yesterday some key features of both the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus were outed, which was been a mystery. If the user profiles found on the website of US carrier Sprint is to be believed, then, the Note 5 will indeed have expandable storage via a microSD slot, suppprting microSDXC cards up to 128GB. While the removable battery seems to be a thing of the Note’s past, replaced by a sizable 4,100mAh built-in unit, at least the expandable storage will remain a tick on the Note 5’s specsheet.

It’s said that both the devices will come with 3GB of RAM, even though the rumors had settled on 4GB in the case of the Note 5. Now that we only look forward for its official launch. Should expect the leaks to get even more specs with the nearing August 13 event date.
