The South Korean firm Samsung has unveiled its next-generation Galaxy Note phablet, has held simultaneous events in New York, London and Rio de Janerio to announce the latest in its phablet range. The Galaxy Note Unpacked 2016 event has not only given us our first introduction to the much awaited Galaxy Note 7, as it’s sixth-gen phablet, but also provided us with an official verification of its specifications and features, pricing details and release date.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Features & Specs
As rumored and expected, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 7 with its technical specification won’t be going to disappoint anyone. The company’s flagship phablet ships with a 64-bit Octa-Core processor with an accompanying 4GB RAM. Not that of 6GB that had previously been speculated, but more than enough to get the job done. With a stunning 5.7-inch Edge display with Quad HD 2k resolution the device screen still brought dynamic media to life. Of course the tech behind the display is Super AMOLED.
Those hardware keys are backed up by the entry-level storage capacity of 64GB, with some markets getting the benefit of 32GB version, and here’s what for good is that there is the option of a microSD card expansion if necessary. From the photography point of view, Samsung is offering up the same rear-facing 12-megapixel camera sensor found on the Galaxy S7/S7 Edge, which also applies to the 5-megapixel selfie shooter on the front of the device.
The new one comes running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box, packs a 3,500mAh battery, a built-in iris scanner for biometric authentication purposes, the S Pen stylus which works under water, and a USB Type-C port for charging and syncing. Underwater? Yes, the Note 7 comes with IP68 certifications, making it completely water-proof, just like the S7 and S7 Edge phones.
With improved pressure sensitivity, the enhanced Note 7 stylus has a smaller 0.7mm tip. The screen off memo lets you pin memo to the Always On Display. Smart Select lets user easily create and share GIFs animations and new Air Command functions Magnify and Translate, and also enables users to zoom in on the screen or convert languages with a simple hover of the S Pen.
The Galaxy Note 7 has a 3D glass and metal design and as said has a Hybrid dual-SIM support. In addition to the fingerprint scanner, Samsung also added an Iris scanner technology for the first time which would allow user unlock the phone using their eye recognition.

Interested individuals can expect to part with $950 for ownership of the legacy and highly performat Galaxy Note 7 – unlocked. This is somewhat approximately $55 more than the Galaxy S7 Edge when it was originally launched. Worth considering it when the new Note 7 comes with the excellent iris scanner, S Pen stylus and modern specs. It will come in Blue Coral, Gold Platinum, Silver Titanium and Black Onyx.
Samsung and Android fans who are highly anticipated will don’t need to wait long they can get their hands on the new Galaxy Note 7 very soon. In the U.S., the phone will be available on pre-order starting tomorrow on August 3, with official availability being penned for 19th August 2016.
