Samsung Confirms Galaxy Note 8 Official Launch Event Date: August 23

Samsung has officially sent out invitations to the press for its Unpacked event in New York City, where it will be unveiling the Galaxy Note 8 smartphone. Everything specified here will give you a better option to look at the upcoming.

The invites for the launch event dubber “Unpacked”, which was sent to select section of media and other important attendees, is for a new product launch that will take place on August 23rd this year at 10am Eastern (7am Pacific) In NYC.

Now that knowing the original launch date for Samsung’s new Galaxy Note 8 smartphone, is a big comback story for its biggest hardware iteration. The Note 8 launch invites asks you to “Do bigger things.” Not this time, as it happened with previous Samsung smartphone in the same lineup, the now infamous Note 7, this launch will be significant for Samsung as the company will try and resurrect the damaged Note branding after Note 7 debacle from last year. Of course, it will be interesting to see what approach will the company take when announcing the successor to Note 7.

Speaking about the Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Note 8 launch invitation, as it does not include more than two slim top and bottom bezels of the Note8 with no edges, which indicates the same 2:1 Infinity Display as the one on the Galaxy S8.

Recently, Samsung launched a refurbished version of Note 7 dubbed the Galaxy Note Fan Edition (FE) in select markets which is basically exact same phone from last year except for battery which is now slightly smaller compared to the real model.

Furthermore, we have come in front of some of new renders that gives us our best look at the Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 phablet. And in the invite image, this disproves that one rumor that the Note 8 would have a significantly larger top bezel than the lower one.

The Samsung’s all-new Galaxy Note 8 is very much expected to have pretty much the same internal hardware as the Galaxy S8 and S8+. Hardware keys include Snapdragon 835 chipset in the US or an Exynos 8895 CPU with 64GB of RAM outside it, and a fully water-resistant metal and glass unibody design. The interesting thing to note is that the Note8 may have a dual 12MP cameras on its back, though it’s still entirely possible that Samsung will save that for the Galaxy S9 next year.

Other specs and features for Note 8 goes, the new Note is rumored to feature a slightly larger version of Galaxy S8’s Infinity Display with minimal bezels all around and a curved screen around the side edges. iPhone 7 Plus-like dual-lens camera system, improved S Pen stylus, fingerprint screen sensor on the back, and other standard features will be the order of the day.
