Everything we know so far about the Samsung’s Galaxy Note 8 with dual camera system is fair and clear, as it seems that the South Korean company could bring forward the release of the next-generation Galaxy Note series early, because of poor sales of the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus smartphones. Here are the details.
We have shared another Galaxy Note 8 leaked schematics already confirms the phone’s most iconic features, but the case today we’re discussing is not that, but the fact is due to 20% of Galaxy S8, S8 Plus dropped when compared to last year’s Galaxy S7/S7 Edge. So the news headlines comes into the scene saying that the Galaxy Note 8 launch might be done on August 23rd.
Last month it was reported that Galaxy Note 8 flagship will be unveiled at Samsung‘s Galaxy Note Unpacked 2017 event in New York City in August. Now that a new one from Korean news source “The Bell” claims that the hardware will be announced on 23rd of August this year, ahead of IFA in September.
As we’re now getting further confirmation on that time frame from two Korean publications, while The Investor, says a Samsung executive would only confirm the month of August not a concrete date for Galaxy Note8 release. Assuming next month is the right timeline for the Galaxy Note 8, especially given the past Note devices have historically been introduced late in the summer.
Evan Blass at VentureBeat speculates that the new Galaxy Note device will have the same 6.2-inch screen as the Galaxy S8 Plus, but will be differentiated by a dual-camera setup, as well as its signature S Pen. Other specifications include a OLED display that will be accompanied by 18.5:9 aspect ratio and QHD+ (2960×1440) resolution of the S8 series.
The dual-camera system could be positioned horizontally, with 12MP wide-angle lens supporting dual photodiodes, as well as a 13MP telephoto lens, OIS on both. The fingerprint sensor will also likely be next to the cameras, just like it is settled on the S8. Rumored already that it pack Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895 chipset, varying by region and 6GB of RAM.
It is said that the Galaxy Note 8 may come with improved Bixby voice-assistant. To be available in Black, Blue and Gold colors. Reportedly, the phone will cost €999, or slightly over $900 in the US. August isn’t so far away, stay tuned for more.
