Samsung Galaxy On5 Pro And Galaxy On7 Pro Are Now Official: Specs, Price And Everything You Need To Know

Samsung has finally released its newest handsets, the Galaxy On5 Pro and Galaxy On7 Pro in India, which reminds the Galaxy Note 4 range. But these are the successors to the last year’s Galaxy On5 and On7, and comes with upgraded features and available exclusively on Amazon India.

Here at TechGiri we are going to review both the mid-range smartphones and compare to see how different and similar they are in the competition.


Features and Specs


First of all taking the Galaxy On5 Pro. It measures 142.3×72.1×8.5mm and weights 149 grams. Secondly the Galaxy On7 Pro, is slimmer and heavier than On5 Pro, which it measures 152x78x8mm and weights 172 grams. Both the devices have built with fuax leather back without stitches, and a metal frame, are available in White and Black colors. Nevertheless, the Galaxy On5 Pro offers a Gold variant, as well.


The bigger faced Galaxy On7 Pro is a phablet with a large TFT screen of 5.5-inch HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels at 267ppi. While the Galaxy On5 Pro has also equipped with a TFT display of 5-inch that supports 720p HD screen at 294ppi.

Processor, RAM and Storage

The Galaxy On5 Pro packs an Exynos 3475 Quad-Core Cortex A7 CPU clocked at 1.3GHz and graphics of Mali-T720 GPU, paired with 2GB RAM. The Galaxy On7 Pro pairs with a Qualcomm MSM8916 Snapdragon 410 chipset, clocked at 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU, Adreno 306 graphics card and 2GB of RAM. The two variants includes 16GB of internal storage and an expandable microSD card support up to 128GB.


Camera and Selfie Shooter

The primary camera of 8MP featuring LED flash can be found inside the Galaxy On5 Pro, with autofocus sensor, geo-tagging, face detection, touch focus and a secondary camera of 5MP for selfies. The Galaxy On7 Pro comes with a 13MP main camera on its back with autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, face detection, and 5MP front-facing shooter.

Note: The two new models come with the Ultra Data Saving mode (powered by Opera Max) that promises up to 50% savings in data across all the content and S bike mode and there’s still the palm gesture selfie mode and the 120 degree selfie mode.

Software And Connectivity

Both the smartphones runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box and offers 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS/ GLONASS options.


The Galaxy On5 Pro is powered by a removable 2600mAh battery package, which is less powerful than the 3000mAh cell that the Galaxy On7 Pro carries.

Price and Availability

Amazon India will be selling both the newly launched Galaxy On5 Pro and Galaxy On7 Pro. Launch offers that include,  Holiday Offer from Thomas Cook worth Rs.6,000 off and 2 GB+ 200 Mins+ 200 SMS at Rs. 343 per month or 3 GB+ 300 Mins+ 300 SMS at Rs. 494 per month for 12 months/recharges for Idea prepaid users.

The Galaxy On5 Pro will be priced at Rs. 9,190 ($137) and the Galaxy On7 Pro will come with a bit higher price-tag of Rs. 11,190 (US$167).
