Hot on the heels now is the Samsung Galaxy S6 Active has been leaked in both press and live images on Twitter, expected to launch on AT7T soon. If you’re indeed looking to grab a phone with stellar specs that can be tossed around and survive a swim, Galaxy S6 Active nontheless appears to be on the track. Leaked images made rounds online, and posted on Twitter by @evleaks. More details on the leaked specs and images can be found right after this jump.
Press images of the purported Galaxy S6 Active fall right in line familiar with previous leaks. The device showcased in light and dark camouflage color schemes, which are likely designed to further enhance its already rugged appearance. Black and White in color, the Galaxy S6 Active seems to miss out on fingerprint sensor as it features three physical buttons on hold – Home, Back and Multi-Window.
Unfortunately, the tweet however have failed to mention any of the specifications of the alleged S6 Active handset. With the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge having hit the market, it looks like Korean giant to be prepping up for the release of the Galaxy S6 Active with more rugged smartphone after the S5 Active. Samsung is yet to reveal what the phone would look like, but this latest leak of images seems to do a convincing enough job.
In addition to the AT&T logo at the back of the leaked device, is the presence of the Galaxy S6 Active marking as well. From the design perspective not much seems to have changed as Samsung retains the Galaxy S5 Active’s aesthetics to mould the S6 Active, including the physical buttons.
Overall said that the phone will be water and dust proof and on Active, Samsung should include pretty much all the features that Galaxy S6 has to offer but this does remain unconfirmed though. What does S6 Active will be missing pout onfor sure, will be the fingerprint sensor, and some other remaining skeptical about support for wireless charging.
The waterproofing case around the phone will keep the speaker grill elevated. The S6 Active has also been touted as having a significantly larger battery than its conventional counterparts, tipped, given the overall larger size of the device but this notion remains unclarified as yet.
The Galaxy S6 Active to sport a model number SM-G890A and pack a 3500mAh battery, which is 950mAh more than the Samsung Galaxy S6. Both the images suggest the Galaxy S6 Active to be an AT&T carrier exclusive or at least be limited to the US region like its predecessor.
Samsung yet to announce when the Galaxy S6 Active could hit the markets, seems to be no word given on the price tag the phone will be carrying once it’s out.
