UAProf Reveals: For Xperia Z5+, Sony Working On A 4K Display [Rumors]

Imagine how it would be when Sony decides going the new way apart from 1080p screen resolution for its Xperia Z3+ and QHD display with Xperia Z4v. If this report is to be believed, then, Sony is looking to jump to the front of the line implementing the 4K resolution screen for its next upcoming Xperia Z5 lineup.

Here shows an User Agen Profile detailing the Sony E68XX group of phones, expected to follow up the Xperia Z5 later on and bear the Xperia Z5+ name. Rumored to have a 5.5-inch screen or bigger, but even then a 4K screen will make for an insane 801ppi pixel density.

The UAProf also reveals the chipset – MSM8944, which is managed by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810. Overheating concerns apart, we have certain doubts that Adreno 430 can drive a 4K display. To avoid confusion about labels 4K is (3840x2160px), which is the same resolution as Sony UHD TV and over a double the pixel count of a Quad HD display (4x a 1080p screen).

Sony could use a different screen supplier, whereas Sharp has already announced a 5.5-inch 4K LCD for 2016 and the ZTE on other hand may also in 4K race.
