Sony Xperia C4 Selfie-Centric Smartphone With 5MP Front Camera With LED Flash Announced

The company’s latest mid-ranger, the Xperia C4 smartphone introduced as the next gen selfie-focused Xperia C series, which sports a 5-megapixel front-facing 25mm wide-angle lens camera, Exmors R image sensor, that too integrated with a soft LED flash, and of course similar to the Xperia C3. The Xperia C4 flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) Full HD IPS display with Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2, scratch resistant glass for protection. It is powered by a 1.7GHz MediaTek MTK6752 64-bit octa-core processor paired with 700 MHz Mali 760 MP2 GPU, 2GB of RAM. With a 13-megapixel autofocus shooter on its back, it has an image stabilizer, HDR, 4X digital zoom and capable of recording 1080p videos. Both the cameras also come with a host of photography apps like Style portrait, and AR mask among others.

On the storage front, there is 16GB internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. The smartphone also features 2,600mAh battery with STAMINA mode, which is rated to deliver up to 682 hours on standy mode and good enough in handling for more than 12 hours of talktime.

Connectivity options on the Xperia C4 includes a dual-SIM slot, 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio with RDS and Sony 3D Surround Sound technology.

The Xperia C4 runs in Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box and would be available in Xperia C4 Dual variant that contain dual-SIM support.

The Sony Xperia C4 and C4 Dual both should launch in select markets starting this June 2015 and can be purchased in Black, White and Mint colors. Pricing details haven’t revealed as yet. Stay tuned!
