WhatsApp Messenger on iPhone has received a big update that now gives Siri the ability to read on your latest messages, and tweaks the calls tab and much more. Here are the details.
Finally, the WhatsApp iOS update today includes 4 new changes made up to the cross-platform messaging and video calling application. In total, the latest WhatsApp version brings in some nifty little visual improvements along with the ability to have Siri read out new messages.
Version 2.17.20 of WhatsApp for iOS is now available to download immediately through the usual App Store or directly from the official WhatsApp Messenger’s website for manual installation. You can now say “Hey Siri“, and simply ask to “Read my last WhatsApp message” following which Siri will tell you what you who sent you the message, and of course also reads it for you.
In the latest WhatsApp version of the iOS app, Siri will also ask you if you want to respond to that message, and you can easily dictate your reply. In addition to the update, WhatsApp also brings in visual changes to the Calls tab, Contact Info, and Group information screens. The UI has now been changed with a cleaner interface and the icons look fairer enough.
What to say about the iOS WhatsApp version, the update will also allow users to select multiple status at once in the My Updates section (screen) that can now be moved / forwarded to others and if need can be deleted or removed from the channel permanently.
