Guide on how to download an ISO file that you can use to install Windows 10 Insider Preview after burning it to DVD or USB flash drive is here. Microsoft has recently at its Build 2015 conference brings Windows 10 to makers and released Insider Preview build 10074 to try on their PCs. This was all about bootable files and instructions based on step-by-step tutorial. Apart that, many were expecting to download Windows 10 for phones, but unfortunately, it won’t be launching in July. More details on this news can be grabbed after this fold.
Knowing that Microsoft will not launch Windows 10 for smartphone this summer, makes my disappoint. The Redmond based software maker’s Corporate Vice President Joe Belfiore delivered the news at a Build media event in San Fransisco.
He also revealed that a summer release date time frame for Windows 10 is on track, but phone users will have to wait for sometime. Belfiore outlined the company’s plans for Windows 10 saying, “Our phone builds have not been as far along as our PC builds.” “We’re adapting the phone experiences later than we’re adding the PC experiences,” he added.
Now that Microsoft is focused on launching Windows 10 for PC first. Builds of the new OS for smartphones are said to be hidden behind the scenes in their development compared to their desktop counterparts. In a similar fashion which Microsoft did with the Windows 8.1 launch, tricked its variant for smartphones (Windows Phone 8.1) arrived at a later date.
He later hinted the delay, by saying,
“There are devices and features that will come not on launch date, but following it,” he further added that “From the device view, our main focus is to kick off the Windows 10 launch wave with a great launch on the PC. You should expect that other devices-phone, HoloLens, Xiaomi, Xbox, Surface Hub will be staggered, obviously not on the same date as the PC.”
This time too, it is looking to iterate Windows 10 for phones for its Microsoft Lumia handsets after Summer. Stay tuned!
