The successor to Xiaomi Mi 5 is on its way in the form of Mi 5C. Launch date has been alleged for next month, and the latest leaks today suggests some extremely useful leads, and reveals some important details as well. Spotted by GizmoChina, the Xiaomi Mi 5C has appeared on an online certification website, China Quality Certification center aka 3C.
Alongside the Mi 5C, the listing also shows up five different Xiaomi handset models that have gone through the certification. Listed under model numbers, such as 2105212, 2016089, 2016101, MAE136 and MBE6A5. While the MAE136 is possibly be the Mi 5C, code-named Meri. Leaked image also reveals quite few other things, where it shows the Mi 5C packed by a 5V/2A power adapter, which actually means that the unannounced device will not support the current high-voltage fast charging technology.
There’s still images that shows up the Mi 5C with ultra-narrow bezels around the display, and flaunts a sleek design overall. Tipped previously that the device to launch with Xiaomi‘s own Pinecone processor, which scores a similar benchmarks of Snapdragon 625 capabilities. The image shows the Mi 5C with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. On the software front, the Mi 5C runs on MIUI 8 on top of Android Marshmallow.
The Mi 5C leak also showed the front and rear of the smartphone few months ago and of course, the “About Phone” section. This purported Mi 5C was actually seen sporting a black color with waht is assumed to be a 2.5D glass display. The selfie camera lens was located above the display and the Home button below that, which is likely to double up as a fingerprint scanner.
The back camera of the Mi 5C was located on top left corner with the Mi logo embedded down below. The image also revealed that the alleged Mi 5C will be powered by a 2.2GHx Octa-Core processor, but the chipset it used was unknown. The smartphone would be launched in two variants, one with 5.2-inch fullHD display and another with 5.5-inch phablet dsiplay. Rest of the Mi 5C specifications adds some juice to the rumored 12-megapixel camera on back and 8MP on its front.

For connectivity features, the Mi 5C will come with 4G VoLTE support, NFC, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and much more. The smartphone is predicted to be priced at RMB 999, which approximately translates to Rs 9,990.
It was rumored that the Mi 5C would be offered as an entry-level smartphone, as other reports, the price for Rs 14,800 (RMB 1499). Stay tuned to grab more information if any surface.
