The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, the Chinese company’s much-rumored smartphone has finally got the certification in China by TENAA regulatory. Images hints at similarities of what was back alleged of the next generation Redmi Note, which tipped a fingerprint scanner onboard and not shown any metal build either. As Xiaomi holding an event on 16th of July, expected to witness the highly-anticipated Xiaomi Mi5 and Mi 5 Plus hardware. Also suggests to see the Redmi Note 2 either.
Specs-wise, the Redmi Note 2’s key features are to be similar to what leaked in May, but doesn’t reveal the fingerprint scanner inside it. A subject of extensive leaks and rumors, suggesting that a successor to the mid-range Redmi Note might also get unveiled on Thursday.
Finally Redmi Note 2 gets certified for local market, with alleged specs and photos of the device apparently gone live, hints at two versions, with either Octa-Core MediaTek MT6795 or a Snapdragon 615 chipset. Both the Redmi Note 2 models will pack a 2GB of RAM, 13MP primary and 5MP front-facing camera, as well as adds 16GB/32GB of internal storage and backed by a 3020mAh battery.
Design wise the Note 2 looks pretty similar to the original Redmi Note and the only difference would be the centered laudspeakr at the back. Possibility of another Redmi Note 2 variant that will be donning the security-oriented feature on board in the future, is what we can only expect.
