The current Xiaomi Mi 4i is a downgraded version of top-end Mi4, which made its debut in the Indian market running on Snapdragon 615 SoC. But that is not the news we are talking about, rather different way, the Chinese manufacturer is planning to release a new refreshed version of it, that too powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 inside it onboard.
When we speak about issues, Mi 4i of course faced such heating problems when running apps or playing games that required a lot of space and power from the CPU. Later it has received an incrimental update which managed to regulate the heat quite well.
Notably, not only Mi 4i but all of the Xiaomi handsets have such heating issues and obviously drains the battery life very quickly, if anyone considered. I am a Redmi 1S user and my friend has recently owned a Redmi 2, were faced such problems.
Apart that, we have recently wrote about Xiaomi ‘Libra’, appeared on a benchmark website running Hexacore Snapdragon 808 chipset (same used on LG G4). Rest of the specs were very similar to Mi 4i. Though the new variant will have a bigger 5-inch 1080p FullHD screen, 2GB of RAM and 13MP primary camera. Pre-installed with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with MIUI v6 skin on top, and finally it support 4G LTE on dual SIM bands and will pack in a 3,120mAh battery.
For the officxial announcement and witness the launch of new Xiaomi Mi 4i we’ve to wait for its unveil on July 16 or could be later. Stay tuned!
