The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi is planning to bring the latest version of its mobile OS – MIUI 7, reportedly partnered Android Open Kang Project team to work on the development of its new version. More details on the new MIUI 7 can be checked after this break!
According to the AOKP members statement, they are all working with Xiaomi’s developers over the a new refreshed MIUI 7 UI skin. The update is codenamed as MiKangy and will be a custom OS based on the Android 5.1 Lollipop update. What’s new?
This new MIUI 7 is all set to make its debut with the Xiaomi Mi5 smartphone as mentioned in the blog post. However, Xiaomi isn’t that fastest company in producing software updates, so we don’t expect the phone to arrive and hit the shelves any time soon.
