YU Team Evidently To Launch YUPHORIA In India On May 12; Reports

Micromax‘s YU has just last month announced the successor to its most popular YUREKA, in the sake by introducing at as Yuphoria, which the company has today confirmed its plans on launching the smartphone in India on May 12. Specifications wise, YUPHORIA tipped to feature a 64-bit processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and obviously runs on the latest version of CyanogenMod OS 12 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. Now as part of its launch, invited designers to create themes and content for the upcoming Yuphoria smartphone.

Actually it was codenamed ‘Project Caeser‘, later it asked its Yu fans to name the device and chosen 5 and picked Yuphoria. Being a successor to the Yu YUREKA handset, sold via Amazon India for Rs 8.999.

Compared YUPHORIA specs with Yu YUREKA, it is a bit upgraded version of its series, and the first one features a 5.5-inch HD IPS display, Snapdragon 615 Octa-Core processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB ROM. Sporting a 13MP rear and a 5MP front facing camera and it packs a 2500mAh battery, and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop based on CM OS 12.
