Nokia 3310 Reboot Will Be A Feature Phone [Rumor]

The HMD Global is all set to launch its rumored Nokia 3310 handset at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona this weekend. Reports suggested a series of updates for Nokia 3310, but a new rumor claims the device will remain true to its feature phone origins. Moreover, here are the details that has leaked right now.


Although the new Nokia 3310’s advert will make you feel old, but nevertheless, as expected the reboot from HMD Global could even steal the headlines from the likes of LG, Huawei, Motorola and Samsung to say some.

News of a potential re-launch for the iconic Nokia 3310 took the world to new heights earlier this month, and the likehood of a resurrection is growing. Expected to be unveiled four Nokia smartphones at a launch even on February 26, including the much-awaited Nokia 6 and a refresh of the Nokia 3310.

Several other reports also suggesting a series of updates for the Nokia 3310. Details regarding the refresh of one of the world’s most hyped mobile phones first surfaced just a week ago. Since that time, Nokia fans have been curious about HMD Global’s actual plans with regards to the device. With that said, some of which claimed that the device will retain its classic design but will get a bit smarter.

Now that those claims about the Nokia 3310 will remain fairly a feature phone with few updated inclusions. It reportedly won’t run Android and will be marketed as a feature phone, with a slightly different and more up-to-date exterior design and a thinner profile and resized keyboard.

The phone’s display will be larger accompanied by a physical keyboard whose key size and structure will be changed. The new Nokia 3310 will also sport a color display, replacing the monochromatic one and expected to adopt a slightly larger, colored panel compared to the original 2000’s version, which weighed around 133 grams, while the refresh is said to have a chassis wrapping the components, making it lighter.

The 2017 version of Nokia 3310 reboot will reportedly be priced at EUR 59 and colors such as yellow, blue, green, red and black. While HMD Global may partner with Carphone Warehouse to release it in the UK. Alongside Nokia 3310, other phones expected to debut at its event on Sunday include two budget Nokia devices; Nokia 3 and Nokia 5.


Global availability of the Nokia 6 could also be announced, HMD has confirmed that it will live stream the event on YouTube and Facebook. Stay tuned.
