Here’s everything you want to know about Nokia 6 vs Redmi Note 3 vs LeEco Le 2 vs Coolpad Cool 1 Dual among others.

HMD Global has announced the first Nokia-branded smartphone that runs on Android 7.0 Nougat, called Nokia 6. With Google’s mobile OS, this is the company’s first 2017 smartphone launched exclusively in China and made available from online retailer at 1,699 CNY ($246), which is almost Rs 17,000 if it launches in India. At this price, Nokia 6 offers a decent mixture of features but more appealing, which can also compete with the set of specifications could stand against tested performers, such as Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 3, LeEco’s Le2 and Coolpad’s Cool 1 Dual smartphones.

For now, Nokia 6 smartphone is blocked in China, we are just comparing its specs and features alongside its pricing against other devices came with similar hardware keys. See how well they fare right below.

Design and Display

The newly launched Nokia 6 features a unibody aluminum alloy metal design made from 6000 series sporting a 5.5-inch 1080p display with 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass protection. While the Redmi Note 3, LeEco Le2 also flaunts the same 5.5″ fullHD screens but the Coolpad Cool 1 Dual has a 5.5-inch FHD IPS in-cell display.

Processor, RAM and Storage

The Nokia 6 is powered by Qualcomm’s 64-bit Snapdragon 430 Octa-Core SoC (eight Cortex A53 cores) clocked at 1.4GHz processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, and of course, comes with an expandable microSD card slot.

When compared to Redmi Note 3 with Snapdragon 650, 64-bit Hexa-Core 1.8GHz CPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB built-in storage, microSD card, LeEco Le 2 is powered by Snapdragon 652 octa-core 1.8GHz processor, 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory. The Coolpad Cool 1 Dual has a Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor paired with Adreno 510 GPU, 4GB/3GB of RAM options.

New Nokia 6 smartphone has a 16MP rear cameras with f/2.0 aperture and PDAF technology and for selfies it has an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture for video calling as well. The Redmi Note 3 and the LeEco Le 2 both sports a 16-megapixel rear camera and 4K recording capabilities, and the 5MP selfie camera integrated inside the Redmi Note 3 and 8MP front shooter on Le 2. The Coolpad Cool1 Dual has a dual-rear camera setup and comes with a pair of 13MP camera sensors featuring f/2.0 aperture, Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF), 4K video recording support, 720p slo-moalong with a dual-tone LED flash.

The first sensor the Cool 1 Dual is using for capturing RGB colors and the other sensing captures the monochrome images. For selfies, it further offers an 8-megapixel front camera.

Battery Package

Nokia 6 brings with it a 3000mAh battery and so is LeEco Le 2. But the Redmi Note 3 houses a 4050mAh battery and the Coolpad Cool 1 Dual with 4000mAh power cells. At this price point, what makes the Nokia 6 better is it houses a processor that offers battery efficiency but at the same time doesn’t offer any kind of performance that other competing devices offering right now. Redmi Note 3 comes with Qualcomm SD650 SoC (four Cortex A53 cores + two Cortex A72 cores), and LeEco Le 2 with Snapdragon 652 SoC (four Cortex A53 cores + four Cortex A72 cores).

Cortex A53 vs Cortex A72 cores: The former A53 cores power the device during normal usage and the latter A72 cores kick in when the performance boost is needed. Both in terms of battery life and performance, the Cortex A72 is a bit better than the use of Snapdragon 430 eight-cores Cortex A53 found inside Nokia 6, it is unlikely to provide the real power needed for graphics and addictive games and apps.
