Nokia E1 With 2GB RAM, Snapdragon 425 SoC Spotted Online: Here’s Everything

After HMD Global launching Nokia 6 Android smartphone 24hours back, now the Nokia E1 appears in the worldwide web, likely to target budget segment. Here are the details we know so far.

Just after Nokia 6 launch, leaks on another variant of Nokia-brand has surfaced on the Internet web. Although the HMD Global handling the sales and marketing of the Finnish branded smartphones for the coming decade, had announced when introducing its first Nokia-Android smartphone that will be releasing a variety of smartphones in 2017. With the alleged image appearance of what is touted to be a budget Nokia smartphone, dubbed Nokia E1 – spotted online.

According to the latest report on NokiaPoweruser, the samrtphone suggests has been received China Compulsory Ceryification (C3) and will be the Nokia E1 moniker. Based on the leaked image, we simply find the front panel of the purported smartphone. Showing off the device, purportedly Nokia E1 will feature a regular display with no frills, that actually makes it in line with the speculations on it being a entry-level handset.

Also speculated that the Nokia E1 is coming with a screen-size of either 5.2″ or 5.3-inch offering only 720p HD resolution. With wallet-friendly price-tag, it will obviously go with 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor paired with Adreno 308 GPU and a minimal of 2GB RAM. Furthermore, Nokia E1 may come with 16GB of internal storage.

On the photography front, the Nokia E1 is expected to sport a 13MP rear camera along with an 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies and video calling. Software, Nokia E1 is said to run on the latest Android Nougat version 7.0 mobile operating system out-of-the-box.

If the company behind the unannounced Nokia E1 is looking for SD425 chipset, which is oner of newest SoC released by Qualcomm promises better performance and efficiency. It has built on 28nm fabrication process and Cortex A53 quad-core CPU. The display support is captured at 1280×720 pixels (60fps) and camera resolution up to 16-megapixel, which it has a maximum video recording support for up to 1080p. Using older cat.4 X6 modem, it can achieve max download and upload speeds of up to 150Mbps and 75Mbps respectively. The smartphone with Snapdragon 425 also gets support for Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Quick Charge 2.0.

No further details surfaced on the battery capacity on the Nokia E1, but the SD425 SoC suggests that it would eventually offer faster charging. There’s still no official clarity on the release timeline of the ‘comback’ Nokia smartphones in 2017. Rumors are rumors and if they’re not to be trusted, then, the Nokia E1 could be teased at the upcoming MWC 2017 keynote in Barcelona, Spain – scheduled from February 27 and will go til March 2nd.

Other alleged smartphone from HMD Global includes Nokia C1, Nokia D1 and some other Nokia branded smartphones. Additionally, the company also said to be working on its own AI-assistant called ‘Viki’ which is aimed at Microsoft’s Cortana, Apple Siri, and the Google Assistant. Allo!
