OnePlus planning to bring the OnePlus 3T Midnight Black limited edition to more buyers, has pushed it out, will go on sale in India March 31st in ‘extremely’ limited quanity. Likewise, for a limited time, OnePlus is also making available at least 250 units of its newest smartphone, the OnePlus 3T, in Midnight Black. OnePlus is teaming up with Hyperbeast, a streetweak fashion curator on March 24 for a pop-up sale to promote this new black variant. Although this promotion is a lot like the one OnePlus did with Colette, a French streetwear store, only their variant has the Collete logo on the device and came bundled with a pair of earphones.
This newest promo with Hyperstreet has no markings and does not fluant the addition of earphones. The unique color will also be available in Europe and the US (that too for a limited time) at a later date. OnePlus tested more than 30 colors, before it ‘settled’ on the current Midnight Black color. The space-grade aluminum OnePlus 3T has three 14-micron coatings of the color applied, along with two sanblasting, each with different sized metal sand to arrive at the “bright, classy finish”.
Lastly, the OnePlus 3T receives an anti-fingerprint layer to keep it looking like new. This new color fragrant was all brought about by customers asking for an all-black OnePlus 3T, according to Pete Lua of OnePlus.
To recall, the OnePlus 3T is been advertised as a slight upgrade over the OnePlus 3 and ups the ante with the Snapdragon 821 processor from Qualcomm, a larger battery, a 16-megapixel front-facing camera (FFC), and some software upgrades, which 1+ has said will also but refreshed on the original OP3. This model 1+ 3T packs a 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal non-expandable memory for a cost of $479.
Other specification include a 5.5-inch Optic AMOLED display with Full HD resolution of 1920-by-1080 pixels and 401 pixels-per-inch (PPI) and the entire OnePlus 3T display is protected by Gorilla Glass 4. Besides the SD821 CPU clocked at 2.35GHz, it uses an Adreno 530 GPU to handle the most demanding graphics. On the photography, the 3T’s primary camera is the same of 16MP shooter found on the predecessor OP3, but it does an excellent job of taking pictures with its PDAF, OIS, LED flash, and f/2.0 aperture. The selfie shooter on FFC was bumped up to 16-megapixel with a f/2.0 aperture and better low light shooting for selfies and video chatting.
The battery package you will find on OnePlus 3T is a 3400mAh non-removable unit that uses OnePlus’ own Dash Charge for quick charging of 60-percent in 30 minutes. It supports connectivity option including WiFi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, NFC, and a reversible USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. It has a front-facing fingerprint sensor that can handle mobile payments, including Android Pay.
