OnePlus 6 Rumored To Have A Feature That Even The iPhone X Couldn’t Accomplish

The OnePlus 5T launched with record sales, though many OnePlus 5 owners unhappy that they have purchased the wrong OnePlus flagship this year. The OnePlus 5(T) model came out only a few months after the OP5, sporting a much better design, as well as a neat iPhone X-like trick (face authentication).

Now that the same thought by OnePlus 5T buyers if the following rumor pans out. Likely to see the OnePlus 6 launch may be just around the corner, and apparently the phone will sport both a better design and improved hardware.

There were predictions and speculation regarding the OnePlus 6 features, said to copy the iPhone X’s iconic Face ID feature, without also copying the notch. Now, another report surfaced claiming that the OnePlus 6 will also have a fingerprint sensor under the display or the dual-rear camera system, just like what Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ are rumored.

Synaptics has also revealed that it is all set to provide smartphone makers such sensors, with Chinese maker Vivo ready to debut the first phone with a fingerprint sensor beneath the screen, something OnePlus 6 to get in the near future.

If GizmoChina’s report becomes accurate, it’s likely Synaptics would provide the same part to OnePlus as well. The OnePlus 6 could be unveiled in March 2018, and launch in stores by the end of the month.

Fortunately, that’s the part OnePlus 5T buyers do hate. But again, if you keep postponing a smartphone purchase just because the next best thing is to arrive, you’ll end up never buying anything.

A March launch of a new OnePlus flagship makes much sense if a second one comes along a few months later. The same Samsung goes with its Galaxy S and Galaxy Note line. This is something OnePlus could consider aping as it continues to make its mark in the Android market.

Finally, the OnePlus 6 will be powered by Qualcomm’s 10nm-fated Snapdragon 845 chip. No official release date or any confirmation from the company have surfaced as yet. But it’s said, it’ll surely pack the best Qualcomm SoC available.
