Following OnePlus’s confirmation the summer launch for OnePlus 5, the company’s CEO, Carl Pei has allegedly teased the upcoming smartphone. The company also re-confirms the OnePlus 5 release date as accurate. Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming.
Just few hours ago, Evan Blass, a popular leaker pointed OnePlus 5 specs and other details on GearBest and tweeted on the Twitter account. Although, the China-based start up company has released a new teaser image for the upcoming smartphone, if you look at the provided image shot, you’ll recognize a OnePlus 5 teaser that OnePlus shared via its official Weibo profile. This teaser appears to reveal with a “Hey Summer! Give me five!” caption attached to it.
The new teaser is now re-confirming that the phone is coming this summer. In addition to that, it also confirms that we’re all looking at the OnePlus 5 here. Tipped, not the OnePlus 4. Based on the rumors and leaks, the OnePlus 5 will probably sport a dual camera system, will run on Android Nougat pre-installed on the device with OnePlus‘ OxygenOS skin on top.
Under-the-hood, OnePlus 5 is getting the power of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC, a 5.5-inch 4K resolution Quad HD AMOLED display. The OnePlus 5 will pack in 6GB and 8GB of RAM, and 64GB / 128GB of internal storage. The alleged OnePlus 5 sketches actually surfaced on the Chinese social network earlier today, so you can check those out as well.

According to Suhant Mehta, a Twitter user, the company’s CEO shared an image of the purported OnePlus 5 phone’s back via his official Instagram account as part of an Instagram Story. Shared two images of the upcoming OnePlus 5 that Carl Pei teased via an Instagram Story. Both images are extremely blurry and are not revealing anything for now.
Do keep in mind that this phone’s leaked image is hidden behind the case, a rather thick case it seems, so we don’t actually get to see its real design. The second image shows up an LED flash that will be placed next to the two camera sensors, presuming these images are legit, otherwise. As previously rumored, the OnePlus 5 will be made out of metal, though one leak suggested that the device will sport a metal + glass design.
The device will be officially announced in the next couple of weeks, quite probably in June or July, so stay tuned for more about OnePlus 5 rumors and actual detailing.
