OnePlus To Open Its First Ever Experience Store In India On January 7

OnePlus is very much planning to setup its first global experience store in India as it feels OnePlus consumers prefer to “touch and feel” before purchase.

Actually, OnePlus wants users to “touch and feel” its products before they buy them online and in the first place the Chinese company products including smartphones, Power Bank units and other accessories are sold via an exclusive partnership with Amazon. Now, the company is going offline for the first time, that too in the Indian market.

Announced the opening of its first experience center in the country, the company scheduled to begin in Bengaluru on 7th of January 2017. The OnePlus experience store is spread to around 14,000 sq ft, that’s located at Hira Property at No 5, New No 213, Bridge Road, Bengaluru, Karnataka.

No doubt that the company will also continue selling its online-only OnePlus models, but the company now plans to expand the number of experience stores next year in India based on success of the maiden outlet, also expects to start local manufacturing units of the latest model OnePlus 3 from the next quarter, said by OnePlus GM of India, Vikas Agarwal.

Although, both the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smartphone have received a great privilege from users as well as experts and the maker sees India emerging as it largest market, so has been aggressive in the country. Through its Twitter account, OnePlus officially revealed its plans in opening its first ever experience store in India this week.

Additionally, OnePlus has planned to start it with a launch day offerings at the store under which users can purchase OnePlus 3T 64GB and 128GB in Gunmetal and OnePlus 3T 64GB in Soft Gold, among other OnePlus devices taking part on that day.

Considering that OnePlus sells its products online only, but there are possibilities the experience store would not double up as an offline store sales. Nevertheless, the store will be limited to showcasing its latest release products and offer demonstration of its devices. OnePlus India’s General Manager also confirmed to Economic Times, that “opening of its experience store doesn’t mean any change in its online sales model. The OnePlus smartphones will still be available exclusively on Amazon India, as the online-sales model gives the company the pricing advantage.

Further, OnePlus also revealed the company’s plan regarding to expand the number of such centers across India, which, by means will be based on the success of the first one. “Oneplus experience store will offer consumers the option to “touch and feel” the phones before they go purchase them online.

Currently, OnePlus sells exclusively through It was last year reports, Xiaomi will also open 100 ‘experience stores’ in the country that will help the consumers touch and feel devices, but unfortunately, these stores will not retail any units.

OnePlus is well-known for launching ‘flagship-killers’. Introduced OnePlus 3 in 2016 at a price of Rs 27,999. This same phone competes with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S7, Google Pixel range, Apple iPhone 7/7 Plus and others with high-end specifications on top.
