After announcing its availability for Apple TV last month, the popular Plex media server has released a new version of streaming app for both of the Sony’s PlayStation 4 and Microsoft’s Xbox One consoles for free.

Finally, the Plex streaming app has now been made available for free on PS4 and Xbox One. Plex previously launched as a preview on the consoles for customers with a Plex Pass, but currently, all PlayStation and Xbox One users are able to stream media directly from their consoles without having to paying to do so.

Your media on all your devices
Remind you about the pricing of Plex Pass. Costs $5 a month, $40 a year or $150 lifetime, and those who already subscribed for the pass will get added perks on their consoles, such as access to premium music libraries, offline mobile syncs, movie trailers, Vevo music videos and more.

Plex, is the most popular medai playback system that features a central server that streams content to the Plex player app. The app organizes the user’s digital library so that then can watch movies and TV shows and of course stream music or view photos in almost any format, while puling the HD artwork, descriptions, synopsis and ratinngs. What’s useful is that the app keeps track of how far the user gets when watching a cinema or show to be able to resume from the point where they left off.

It is probably idea for those with larger media libraries on their Macs or PCs who are looking to access it all from one centralized and organized location, Plex Server.

Users who already have a Plex account can now be able to install the streaming app on their PlayStation 4 or Xbox One for free. Or quickly register for an account and download Plex app on the console of their choice right away.
