Want To Know About PUBG PS4 Release Date, Here’s What We Have So Far

You all know by now that a free PlayersUnknown’s Battlegrounds title or PUBG Mobile game hits 5 million players mark on iOS, Android, and Xbox One success revealed by PUBG Xbox One DLC, recently.

Of course, there’s one game that’s absolutely dominated the PC gaming world over the past 18 months and that’s PlayersUnknown’s Battlegrounds. In December, PUBG launched on Xbox One, but the same title newer ever come to PlayStation 4. If the latest rumors are to be believed, the PUBG PS4 release date leak suggests the game might arrive later this year.

PUBG PS4 Information

Fans on the PS4 and Nintendo Switch have been given a big boost about a possible release time frame for their consoles, hoping PUBG will be heading to their consoles after the recent Xbox One release timing. Owners looking for an exclusive PS4 console game release, PUBG would be that with a hyped matter.

Nevertheless, a PUBG PS4 version seems to be on the roadmap, the developers behind it talking about PS4 support, now. PUBG Mobile has been released for free in the US and other international regions. There’s still no word on PS4 release as yet.

As the Battlegrounds PS4 release date remains a mystery, and things could be further complicated if a new report is true, that will also put PUBG in danger of never releasing on PS4, as Microsoft reportedly expresses an interest in acquiring the company that own Battlegrounds.

Previous reports also suggested Microsoft is interested in potentially buying Electronic Arts, Valve and PUBG Corp. The latter seems to make the most sense, especially with the software maker’s timed console exclusivity deal in place for PUBG Battlegrounds.

We also heard a whisper about Valve and about Korean outfit PUBG Corp, which Microsoft last year signed to a timed exclusive for its hit survival shooter, PlayersUnknown’s Battlegrounds. Buying PUBG Corp. would literally spell the end for Battlegrounds on PS4.

However, PUBG could almost face competition from Electronic Arts, as EA shows an interest in the Battle Royale game. As of now, there’s no exact time frame settled for a PUBG release on PS4.

Rumors claim that the PUBG PS4 release date will be scheduled for later in 2018. And that information suggests that Battlegrounds will be going live on the PlayStation console after the Xbox One version has gone gold.

Information like this must be taken with a pinch of salt as there’s no real way at this time to verify the rumor. But it does fit in with what Chang Han Kim, the CEO of PUBG developer PUBG Corp., has said on the subject of releasing PUBG on other platforms.

He also discussed whether it was possible to release the early access version of PUBG on PS4, while also confirming that the Xbox One version would need to be released first.
