Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Gets Major Android 5.0.2 OTA Update

Hot on the heels is that Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is getting the its first OTA  updates, including performance improvements and bug fixes, which was indeed launched with the Material Design aesthetics – Android 5.0 Lollipop. Samsung is somewhat busy shipping out and making the new Galaxy S6 Edge available in several countries, including India. The Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge gone on sale. Unboxed the handset, evidently received its first OTA update, and its not the Samsung Software update, but the Android Lollipop version 5.0.2 measures 250.53 MB heavy and mostly brings improvements for better performance.

The dual-curved touchscreen will become more responsive with this new update, and beyond that, several other built-in apps get interface tweaks and to name some other. Liker Photo Editor gets a few new inclusions for image editing purposes on the go and also brings accessories, that will be compatible with the phone.

The Android 5.0.2 update remains same, but the baseband is changed from G925IDVU1AOC1 to G925IDVU1AOD2. The kernel version has also seen a minor tweaks and changes to 3.10.61-4600331 (dated April 1) from 3.10.61-4265940 (dated March 2).
