Here’s everything you need to know about the Samsung‘s upcoming Galaxy S8 flagship and its Plus variant release date and price. As the case maker leaked 3D renders showing off more information on the upcoming duo – precise measurements of both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. Followed by a recent leak on Twitter suggests, that the much awaited Samsung Galaxy S8 will just be showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2017) and the significant launch date of the phone will be on March 29th.
First of all, we should have know by now on what Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus measurements. According to this latest leak, the Galaxy S8 Plus measures 152.38 x 78.51 x 7.94mm, which is a bit taller and wider than the current S7 Edge model. The screen is surprisingly big enough, that measured 6.3-inch apparent size when viewed head on, the tru size will be slightly larger (since the sides are curved).
The smaller model of Galaxy S8 measures in at 140.14mm x 72.20 x 7.30mm, slightly shorter and thinner than the current Galaxy S7, but wider. That means the Galaxy S8 will have a larger scree than o the S7 Edge while being about the size of the S7.
Apparently, both the next-generation Galaxy S smartphones are wider, but Samsung did things to minimize that – the yellow portion of the S8 schematic is the screen. There’s still barely any side bezel to be seen and digging the thin top and bottom bezels.
In terms of screen real estate, as per GSMArena, this year’s champion might really be a boss, with about 5.7-inch inches. When compared to Galaxy S7’s 142.4 x 69.6 mm size, the Galaxy S8’s screen is even larger than the 5.5-inch Galaxy S7 Edge display and a big jump recorded from the 5.2-inches of the Galaxy S7.
Thanks to the dual curved edges and the rest will be due to the almost bezel-less facade. If and if Samsung manages to pull this off without a hitch, it could bounce back into the game as if nothing happened. The source also speaks about the Power button and with schematic also shows microUSB 2.0 instead of USB-C, there’s enough room for the plug and the two USB standards are quite different in width.
Now speaking about the launch of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. The twitter account has been taking credit for putting out some credible info in the past. If Samsung will showcase the phone at this year’s MWC keynote, they would want to play it big at the biggest mobile conference in the world.
The tweet that leaked the launch date timescale also suggests the device will be priced at $849, that’s around Rs 60,000. The tipster Ricciolo has also posted that the flagship smartphone is all-ready to be presented at the MWC 2017 next month. However, the user says that it will be officially introduced at the Galaxy Unpacked 2017 event on March 29th this year and launch in the week 17, which is between April 24th and 30th.
