Samsung Galaxy S8 Specs To Include Optical Fingerprint Recognition Sensor

Currently there are no actual release date of Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy Note 8, or either its price details have surfaced, but specifications wise, one of the major speculation pedicts that the upcoming 2017 Galaxy S phone to feature optical fingerprint recognition software.

If that’s the case then we should also see the Galaxy S8 Edge. Concept-wise, there are many more rumors pointing at such products. Although Samsung officially confirmed the Galaxy S8 launch, which would be happening in early next year. Now that another report from China adds this new technology.

According to the latest, the technology of optical fingerprint recognition on Galaxy S8, Note 8 or Galaxy S8 Edge will be the world’s first integration so that the Touch ID sensor could be embedded inside the display itself instead of placing it under the Home button.

Yesterday, we have witnessed the launch of world’s first 6.4-inch edgeless Mi MIX phone from Xiaomi, alongside the Galaxy Note 7 clone, the Mi Note 2 with two-side curved screens of AMOLED flexible 3D glass. Then this would be more accurate and faster than ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, currently being used in the Xiaomi Mi 5S.

Rumors also suggests that Samsung may remove the Home button from the upcoming Galaxy S8 series. And rumors are rumors, many of which has been declined when officially announced. Like what the earlier ones speculated about its hardware key features.

As per that Samsung Galaxy S8 to pack a 5.5-inch 4K display, fit for VR experience, powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 or Exynos 8895 10nm chipset, 6GB of RAM. With that said, it also claims that Samsung would expand the curved display area on top and bottom edges of the next-generation S series phone for a full-fledged curved look.

The Samsung Galaxy S8, S8 Edge release date timeline is expected to be unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2017) in February. Launch in March.

Update x1: Samsung seems to have delayed its upcoming Galaxy S8 smartphone as the South Korean technology struggles to determine what caused its flagship Note 7 to overheat and explode. Reason in front, it also really doesn’t want its next smartphone era to encounter the same problems as the infamous Galaxy Note 7.

So, the debut of the highly-anticipated Samsung Galaxy S8 has been delayed and the official release date could now be up in the smoke.
