Alongside the Samsung Galaxy S8 launch timeframe also expected to see the introduction of the Galaxy Tab S3 at MWC 2017. New report surface suggesting that Samsung will be unveiling a smartphone but not the Galaxy S8, rather a big one on February 27. What it should be? Here are the details.
The latest one points at Samsung will announce an official launch date for the Galaxy S8 smartphone at Mobile World Congress (MWC 2017) on February 27. Actually the company is hosting a press event on Feb. 26, where it’s expected to launch the Galaxy Tab S3. Rumors have however hinted Galaxy S8 launch in March.
Rumors also tipped that Samsung may showcase a one-minute teaser of the yet-unannounced Galaxy S8 at the Galaxy Tab S3 release date. Many other speculations predicted some anticipated points at March 29th launch, with the device going on sale by April 21.
There have been many leaks and multiple specifications outed, benchmarks and concepts arrived, but what to think is all are not been officially confirmed by Samsung. No one knows how the official galaxy S8 device looks like, or whether its design merges with the current Galaxy S and Galaxy S7 Edge, is unknown.
Another leak also shows up the second variant of the Galaxy S8, the Galaxy S8 Plus, said to feature a dual-curved edge display. The front panel will have a nearly bezel-less design, sans the Home button, with the fingerprint sensor placed at the back. It was also claimed that Samsung would be dropping the 3.5mm audio headphone jack, but the recent ones suggest that the company will retain the jack. In terms of hardware key features, Samsung’s Galaxy S8 is a smaller variant with a 5.8-inch QHD display and a larger Galaxy S8+ to come with a 6.2-inch QHD display. Both the models will render Super AMOLED screens. Under the hood, the Galaxy S8 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while the Galaxy S8+ expected to house 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage on-board. On the photography department, the Galaxy S8 likely to get a 12-megapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, and an 8MP front-facing selfie shooter. The Galaxy S8 will be offered with the power of 3,750mAh battery package, also equipped with some connectivity options such as USB Type-C port, built-in Bixby – Samsung’s own digital assistant, and iris scanner support.
