Samsung’s 256GB EVO Plus microSD Card Unveiled, Hits The Market In June For $250

Smartphone owners have been looking for as much expandable storage as possible that was considered by an affordable 200GB SD card from SanDisk, but to increase its capacity and become an envy to iPhone, Samsung just came up with a microSD card that’s able to deliver even more storage space for your Galaxy S7 or any other device that supports expandable memory. This new 256GB EVO Plus card from Samsung offers the highest capacity in its class.

Samsung has finally announced the plans to release the EVO Plus 256GB microSD card, that can store up to 12 hours of 4K UHD videos or 33 hours of Full HD video recording.

Using Samsung’s new V-NAND technology, the memory card offers faster reads and write speeds, reaching 95MB/s and 90MB/s, respectively. This card is also included in the UHS-1, Class 10 speeds class. When compared to SanDisk’s solution, the EVO Plus 25GB microSD card is slightly faster, does read and write at 90MB/s.

You can also record 46 hours of HD video before requiring replacement, as Samsung says that 256GB of storage is a good option for up to 55,200 photos or 23,500 MP3 songs. That also comes with a limited 10-year warranty and provides “advanced protection, capacity, and performance with long-term reliability,” according to the Korean Electronics.

More than enough, this Samsung’s new EVO Plus 256GB micro-SD card is waterproof, temperature proof, X-Ray proof and magnet-proof, will also work with 360-degree video recorders, action cameras as well as drones.
