Smartwatch devices are the futuristic wearables filled with communication support and will be integrated with all the elements that a smartphone sports. So, Apple Watch is one of the best example for that, followed by LG Watch Urabne, Samsung Gear S2 and Moto 360 etc. Huawei, which is another manufacturer also entered the wrist-wearable arena and ASUS has although announced its smartwatch, and recently at ComputerX 2015 in June unveiled its successor.
The Asus ZenWatch 2 was introduced in two different sizes last month and for the time being its is now available on the US version of the Google Store.
The watch in 49mm with 1.6-inch screen and the other 45mm with 1.5-inch display, the Asus ZenWatch 2 runs on Android Wear platform and are powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chips. The only difference would be the larger version of the smartwatch features a 320×320 AMOLED display and packs a 400mAh battery and the smaller variant has a resolution of 280×280 AMOLED screen and is backed by 300 mAh battery and impressively, both the Asus ZenWatch 2’s have Gorilla Glass protection with an IP67 water resistant certifictaion.
The Asus ZenWatch 2 is priced at $149.99 and right away available only for US Google Store and soon, they are expected to go on sale in Europe later this month.
