Announced that both the Gear S2 and Classic variant of wearables will go on sale in the U.S., which were actually launched ahead of IFA recently. They are purely be running on the company’s native Tizen OS – wearable platform.
Specs-wise, both looks pretty similar with a 1.2-inch Circular (360x360px) Super AMOLED screens, have rotating bezel. Home and back buttons are present, and to say some impressive things about them would be that they’re having IP67 certification for water and dust resistance, and not waterproof, which you have to keep in mind. New series work with compatible Android devices running 4.4 KitKat and above with 1.5GB RAM and higher.
The Gear S2 Classic is priced at $299.99 and the Samsung Gear S2 costs around $349.99 in the US retail Store shelves, such as: Samsung.com, Amazon.com, Best Buy, and Macy’s. For 3G Gear S2 and Classic smartwatches with e-SIM support for voice calling, you have to head over to AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon Wireless later this year.
