Apple Releases Beta 3 Of tvOS 11.3 And macOS 10.13.4 To Developers For Testing

Apple has today released official beta 3 of tvOS 11.3 and macOS 10.13.4 for Mac hardware and Apple TV developers registered on Apple Developer Program.

Now that, the beta 3 of iOS 11.3 for iPhone and iPad, alongside tvOS 11.3 beta for Apple TV and macOS High Sierra 10.13.4 has been released for testing, presumably focuses on bug fixes and few under-the-hood enhancements. The latest pre-release seeds allow developers with compatible Apple TV and Mac hardware to install the relevant platform and investigate any changes made with immediate effect.

The third betas of the above platforms apparently show that the company is consistently pushing to get macOS 10.13.4 and tvOS 11.3 ready to be released to the public as soon as possible.

tvOS 11.3 Beta 3

With some minor but notable changes, tvOS 11.3 beta 3 brought a new Privacy explaining screen when the software is launched as well as implementing a new section which describes how a user’s data is managed. Apple also integrated a lot of work around HomeKit, ensuring that Apple TV owners can live up to the Home app on iOS with tvOS 11.3 and iOS 11.3 installed. Apple TV 4 also now supports frame rate matching with tvOS 11.3.

macOS 10.13.4 Beta 3

This isn’t a huge update but is one that Mac owners will definitely want to have installed. macOS 10.13.4 is for those especially if they are running iOS 11.3 on iPhone and iPad. There’s a new Messages in iCloud feature that makes a comeback with the latest macOS release, as does a warning pulled straight out of iOS which warns that 32-bit only apps are being phased out and that they may not work in a future version of macOS.

Nevertheless, as we get anything fairly about these latest beta releases we will let you know if any new major functionality or features have shipped in. Until then, any developer involved in testing with compatible firmware can simply grab the latest releases right now through the instant update mechanism and start testing. More information on these releases can be found over at developer.apple.com.
