Download: iOS 9.2.1 Released For iPhone, iPad, iPod touch [Direct IPSW Links]

Apple has on Tuesday made available final iOS 9.2.1 download links for all compatible iPhone, iPad and iPod touch models. It’s the first new iOS update of the year which has been rolled out for public.

The iOS 9.2.1 public release comes two weeks after Apple seeded beta 2 and about a month after first beta of iOS 9.2.1 was seeded to developers and public beta testers and of course a week after Apple seeded first iOS 9.3 beta to those members registered in Apple Developer Program and Public Beta Program, which also brings with it new features such as Night Shift, OTA IPSW update and many more.

The small update arrives as build 13D15 and the iOS 9.2.1 final includes bug fixes and security updates, and doesn’t contain much in this release. Full official change-log is as follows:

This update contains security updates and bug fixes including a fix for an issue that could prevent the completion of app installation when using an MDM server.

No jailbreak tool for iOS 9.1, 9.2 and 9.2.1 is right now available, but you’re already jailbroken on iOS 9.0-9.0.2, it is important to know that currently there’s no public jailbreak available for iOS 9.1+ devices. You need to stay away from iOS 9.2.1 currently.

If you are not thinking about jailbreaking iOS 9.2.1, then here are the direct links for the IPSW update to get them right onto your device to iOS 9.2.1 using OTA (Over-The-Air) mechanism. For that you head to Settings > General > Software Update and update from there.

Alternative! Want to clean install iOS 9.2.1 via iTunes, then you can do so by restoring the firmware file. Before that make sure you backup everything before hitting the Restore iPhone button.

Direct download iOS 9.2.1 IPSW files for all supported iPhones, iPads, and iPod touch devices are placed below to grab. Installation process requires at least 500MB of space available on your devices.
