You can now download iOS 10.0.3 IPSW links for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus directly from Apple. Released the second official update to the iOS 10 operating system, nearly a month after seeding iOS 10.0.2 and a month and a half after providing the new iOS build to the public. Here are the details.
iOS 10.0.3 comes just before the iOS 10.1 release, a more significant update that brings a Portrait mode depth-of-field effect to the iPhone 7 Plus. Although the iOS 10 final introduces a heap of new features designed to push the mobile operating system forward. Version 10.0.3, follows on from iOS 10.0.2, and comes when iOS 10.1 is currently in beta testing. As Apple looking to fix bugs and security issues quickly and in a timely fashion. However, this new version of iOS is available only for iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, at least for now.
Today’s update includes a fix for a bug that could cause issues with cellular connectivity, a problem that only affected the new iPhone 7 range. One of the primary focus of iOS 10.0.3 is to fix cellular connection bug that seems to be affecting the new iPhone 7 Plus as well. Where the new iPhone models losing cellular connectivity is one way that Tim Cook and Apple didn’t wanted to hear, so with the release of iOS 10.0.3 that issue is finally fixed.
Aside from that fix, iOS 10.0.3 doesn’t get or contain much to write home about. Investigation of the firmware doesn’t reveal any noticeable outward-facing changes that users can interact with on the iPhone. Instead, Apple has taken the tried and tested point release route of integrating relatively minor bug fixes and improvements that are designed to enhance the whole user-experience, making the iOS 10 experience on compatible devices a lot more fluid and enjoyable.
Shortly after the iPhone 7 released, a number of Verizon users began experiencing a serious issue that caused them to regularly lose LTE connection on their new device. It was later discovered that the cause affected iPhone 7/7 Plus devices associated with other carriers as well, and it should be fixed for all users.
iOS 10 is of course a major update that includes features like a redesigned Lock screen experience, a revamped Messages app with a full App Store, a Siri SDK for developers, new looks and features for Maps and Apple Music, and tons more. With the release of iOS 10.0.3, the Cupertino-based company is also working on additional fixes and improvements for iOS 10, including the addition of the iPhone 7 Plus camera “Portrait” mode with iOS 10.1 that’s currently in test with developers.

Anyone with compatible iPhone, iPad or iPod touch is now able to grab iOS 10.0.3 as an over-the-air download with immediate effect via the Software Update (Settings > General > Software Update) section of iOS.
Alternatively, the firmware file can also be downloaded and installed via iTunes if a fresh start is required or just felt to do so. Remember to take an iTunes backup – no pun intended – before proceeding with the update.
