Honor 8 To Get Android 7.0 Nougat Update In February 2017

Finally, the Chinese smartphone makers have started rolling out Android 7.0 Nougat updates for their respective devices. Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has reportedly also announced that its dual-lens camera flagship Honor 8 will receive the Nougat update with the company’s official EMUI 5.0 interface in February next year.

Confirmed that the Honor 8 smartphone will no doubt get Android Nougat version 7.0 update in 2017. So the Honor 8’s Nougat update features can be expertise as split-screen multitasking and quick replies, while EMUI 5.0 custom ROM based on Android Nougat will also relatively bring a major overhaul to the company’s stock EMUI skin on top. One particular change that it will come along with the Nougat update is that it will provide users the ability to run two different profiles and switch between them with ease.

Furthermore, the machine learning on the EMUI 5.0 skin allows the phone to prioritize apps, for allocating the resources, focusing on user’s behavior over time, as per the report. Other best features you will receive with the Honor 8’s Android Nougat update plus EMUI 5.0 are the App Lock, this allows users with advanced security for the applications installed on their phone. In order to help users save battery life, the update will also execute several power saving modes along with it.

Notably, the EMUI 5.0 is purely based on Android 7.0 Nougat that’s already running in the market and available inside the Huawei Mate 9. It will offer improved capabilities and flexibility over security with App Lock. Thus, it will also features a more intelligent power management system, with that help users of Honor 8 can manage their device’s battery consumption.

Note: Huawei has made it clear that all the smartphones including Huawei Mate 8, Huawei P9, P9 Plus, P9 Lite, Huawei Nova and the Huawei Nova Plus will receive the Nougat update sometime in the first quarter of 2017.
