Lenovo K3 Note Gets Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update With TheaterMax Support In India

Lenovo K3 Note smartphone in India received a good news about it can now be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, as the Chinese manufacturer has started rolling out the OTA update that brings with it TheaterMax support for an innovative VR experience. For the unknown, the TheaterMax VR feature was actually iterated with the launch of K4 Note, Vibe X3 and the newly released K5 Note Plus, which you being a K3 Note owners can also experience the same Virtual Reality honor.

The K3 Note originally came with Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, now by skipping the 5.1 upgrade, directly gets the Android 6.0 Marshmallow over-the-air via usual mechanism.

Lenovo‘s official Android Upgrade Matrix, the new Android Marshmallow update has been rolling out earlier than expected release date of April, but it has to be confirmed that when it will be rolling out to A7000, A7000 Plus, A7010 / Vibe K4 Note, VIBE Shot, VIBE X3, VIBE S1 and VIBE P1 smartphones.

The new K3 Note Android 6.0 OTA update definitely focuses on App Permissions, Web Experience, App Links, Power & Charging etc. With that said, the Marshmallow update for the Lenovo K3 Note reportedly bringing new Doze battery saving feature that specifically uses motion detection to reduce background activity when the handset is in standby mode, but it can still wake up for important events like albums and others.
