Microsoft Reportedly To Roll Out Windows 10 Mobile Update For Lumia Devices In February

The mobile operating system of Windows 10 running on Lumia 950 and 950 XL was launched in October 2015 and Microsoft was expected to roll out the update for its existing and compatible Windows Phone 8.1 Lumia devices in December, but it didn’t made it on time, rather delayed till 2016. Now that another report surfaced suggesting the Windows 10 Mobile will hit the Windows Phone 8 devices in February. How much it is an accurate news is to be witnessed.

According to an email sent by Microsoft to Venture Beats reads, the Windows 10 Mobile update is not ready for primetime yet, but both the service update and legacy handset upgrade will be coming in early to mid-February. So the first and foremst to receive the latest build of update alongside service update would be the already available Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL as well.

The Microsoft Lumia devices that will be getting the Windows 10 Mobile update are as follows; Lumia 435, Lumia 430, Lumia 532/535, Lumia 540, Lumia 640/640 XL, Lumia 735, Lumia 830 and Lumia 930. In order to check the compability to receive Windows 10 Mobile update for Lumia devices, Microsoft has also released Upgrade Advisor Beta, helps you know if your holding Lumia handset is eligible for the 10 Mobile upgrade or not.
