Intex iRist is the first Android powered smartwatch launched
Unlike the most handy Android Wear smartwatches, the Intex’s first wearable features a square design with 44x44x14mm measurements, and weighs at 83 grams. The iRist smartwatch is capable to survive outdoors with dust and water resistant abilities, and powers it gadget with a 600mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 240 minutes of talktime and up to 200 hours of standby mode.

Specifications-wise, the iRist sports a 1.56-inch OLED (240x240px) resolution display, and is powered by a 1.2GHz MediaTek MT6572 dual-core CPU. The smartwatch is coupled with 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage (of which 1.3GB will be available to use). It features a 5MP rear camera with 720p video recording and flaunts a scene mode, zoom, color effects, face detection, and self-timer among other inclusions.

The iRist wearer will get a single-SIM slot and support 3G connectivity and which it can be used as a standalone device to make and receive calls alongside send SMS/Text Messages on the go. Other options include Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, USB, GPS, and on the software front, Intex iRist smartwatch runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box.
