You already know by now, Apple has officially made iOS 11.0.2 available to download for all user with compatible iPhone, iPad and iPod touch device. Now that we have got the information on what has been updated in the platform.

iOS 11.0.2 Changelog

Notably, the list of inclusions found in Apple’s latest iOS 11.0.x version are minimal. However, things have been ramped up the next level recently with the release of iOS 11, watchOS 4, tvOS 11, macOS High Sierra 10.13. Concludes the announcement of iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, Apple TV 4K and Apple Watch Series 3 (Review).

Apple’s engineers are very much involved in fixing the cons on iOS 11. Those dealines have once again been realized in a timely manner with last week’s release of iOS 11.0.1 and today’s subsequent release of iOS 11.0.2.

While the initial versions of iOS 11 only been with us feels like a few days, but the engineers ripping through support requests and known issues, bugs and other problems with the aim of getting new builds out into the hands of developers and device owners to fix those discovered issues.

The iOS 11.0.2 is exactly like the aforementioned ripper. A smaller point release that instantly introduces bug fixes, generic improvements and stability enhancements which should hopefully set the scene for larger releases going forward. In short and brief, Apple admitted and reacted quickly to try and fix some niggling issues that have been picked up in iOS 11.0 and 11.0.1 releases.

One of the biggest thing about these smaller, but continuous updates, is that Apple looks to include a set of release notes as best it possibly can with each release. So we can simply reference the included changelog to get an immediate idea of what the iOS engineers have been working on. You can checkout all of the full changelog for iOS 11.0.2 from Apple below:

It is said that iOS 11.0.2 does fix crackling sound issue on the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus users experienced, among other minor bug fixes.

And as far as security content is concerned, Apple says that:

iOS 11.0.2 includes the security content of iOS 11.

It also admitted that iOS 11.0.2 has exact same security patches as 11.0, but includes fixes and performance improvements for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users.

Hopefully, the issues related to battery and general lag here and there in 11.0/11.0.1 has also been fixed in this update once and for all. We will report back with findings if any when we have spent enough time with iOS 11.0.2. Stay tuned for more.
