Vibe Flagships: Lenovo Announces New Vibe S1, P1 And P1m Smartphones, Specs And Price Details

Lenovo has announced three new phones, the Vibe S1, Vibe P1 and the Vibe P1m, at this year’s IFA trade show in Berlin. What is pretty notable is that, all the three new phones come in under the same cost and unlocked and surely offer solid value for the budget in their own ways. First off starting with the top-end model of the three, the Vibe S1 is a selfie-focsued 5-inch device clad in metal and glass. Designed to impress the selfie enthusiasts with its two front facing cameras – an 8MP for the highest-quality selfies, and a 2MP for depth information to replicate human binocular vision. Two cameras work significantly for few features like refocusing, background blur, cut-outs and other tools. Other specs goes with a 5-inch 1080p display, octa-core 1.7GHz Mediatek 64-bit CPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage (microSD card support 128GB), 13MP rear camera, 2500 mAh battery and LTE connectivity inside.

Next to speak about would be of the, Vibe P1. It is an all-metal affair, with a 5.5-inch FullHD display, is powered by a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and has 2GB of RAM on board. Brings with it 13MP rear camera and 5MP front-facing Selfie shooter and supports 4G LTE connectivity, runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box and it packs a 5000mAh battery which is a massive powerhouse, has an unique OTG Charging function using which you can charge other USB-connected devices, such as Bluetooth headsets and portable speakers.


The Lenovo P1m on the other hand similarly positioned to the P1. The plastic device bumps down to a MediaTek processor and 16GB of internal storage, and approximately meets the size at 4000mAh battery, while it features a 5-inch HD display, 2GB of RAM and the primary camera with 8MP sensor and 5MP Selfie shooter, the mid-range P1m supports Dual SIM capabilities and 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.1 LE and GPS. Lenovo P1m runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box. The battery enables reverse charging of other devices over USB, and sports quick charging capabilities.


Lenovo has the Vibe S1 slated for a November release, costs $299 unlocked, looks like a solid deal for the phone in Pearl White and Midnight Blue color options. The Vibe P1 will be available in early October for $279 (in  Platinum, Graphite Grey and Gold) and the entry-level budget P1m lining up in mid-September for just $159 unlocked in Onyx Black and Pearl White paint jobs.

Notably, any of these phones are set to arrive in North America, but will be made available in other countries where Lenovo phones are currently sold.
